alpine mountain-photography-matterhorn-robert-boschSwiss mountaineering brand Mammut paid tribute to the first ascent of the Matterhorn peak taken by Edward Whymper and his team, 150 years ago. Earlier this year, mountain climbers ascended the Matterhorn’s Hörnli ridge (in the Pennine Alps on the border between Switzerland and Italy) and lit bright red lights in order to celebrate the inaugural ascent. Have a look at the making-off movie below for some spectacular footage:

In collaboration with photographer Robert Böesch, Mammut has captured incredible mountain photos in various locations, showing off the raw beauty of the Alps. Enjoy the gallery and feel free to share your thoughts!
