The region of all shades of blue, the Caribbean islands and coast will treat visitors with diverse beaches all around, from quite stretches of endless sand to rugged and rocky terrain gently hit by ocean waters.

While it is true that traveling here is often costly, if you want a more affordable journey, it’s possible to have one. The Caribbean is a fantastic destination for those who are looking for a tropical escape for the best value. Here are some Royal Holiday Vacation Club Caribbean destinations that provide good value for travelers:

#Puerto Rico

If you live in the United States, Puerto Rico is a fantastic travel choice. Because you are a United States citizen, a passport is not required, and flights are much less expensive than flights to other tropical destinations. Dubbed as one of Royal Holiday’s “practically free” club resorts, the Royal Club Cala in Palmas del Mar is an excellent and affordable Caribbean destination.

With 16 restaurants, a country club with a spa, beach club, a world class equestrian center, and 2,750 acres of beachfront, this resort may be a “value” price-wise, but it certainly makes you feel like you are living in the lap of luxury. From Miami, it is only a two-hour flight. From Chicago, you can expect to be at your tropical destination in around 4.5 hours.

 #The Dominican Republic

One of the ways to ensure that your trip is affordable is by seeking out all-inclusive resorts. By paying upfront for a hotel room, drinks, and food, you do not run the risk of “sticker shock” once you arrive at your destination. The Caribe Club Princess is a popular all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana. Featuring a discotheque, a casino, diving classes, snorkeling, nightly shows, an array of restaurants and lounges, shopping, a convenience store, babysitting services, a beauty salon, and more, Punta Cana’s Caribe Club Princess is an affordable Royal Holiday destination choice.

#Aruba

Paradise Beach Villas is truly underrated. Located in Oranjestad, Aruba, and touted as an affordable location by visitors, Paradise Beach Villas sits directly across from Eagle Beach; a beach that has been rated as one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. Featuring condos with central air-conditioning, fully-equipped kitchens, and balconies, this destination is perfect for families. With great shopping, museums, boutiques, and a popular city wharf, Oranjestad is an affordable and family-friendly Royal Holiday Caribbean destination.

A good rule of thumb when searching for destinations that offer the best value is to travel during non-peak seasons. Peak season in the Caribbean typically translates to costly flights and hotel stays. Try to avoid visiting the Caribbean from mid-December to mid-April as this is when it is usually more expensive for travelers. However, traveling in mid-April to mid-December (ideally from mid-October to mid-December) equates to more affordable travel options with some resorts cutting their high-season rates by 50% to fill their rooms during the slower season.
