By Lavinia

Villa D’Este is located in Tivoli, a small but beautiful city 20 kilometers away from Rome.

How to get here:

From Fiumicino or Ciampino Airport, take a local bus (not a Shuttle, these are a lot more expensive) towards Anagnina metro station (1,2 Euros).  Take the metro until Ponto Mammolo station, get off, get a bus ticket to Tivoli (2 Euros) and get in your ride. You will be getting to your destination in 20 minutes- 1 hour, depending on the traffic. Via Tiburtina (the street connecting Rome with Tivoli)  is pretty crowded during the mornings and late afternoons, so if possible, try to avoid that.

Tickets

If you have relatives or firends in Italy, ask them to call and make a reservation. Otherwise, when you arrive in Tivoli, just ask around for “Villa D’Este”, everyone will know where it is. The admission is 9 euros, but it is worth every cent. The visiting hours are from 08.30 to 17.00, but be sure to check this web page in advance.

Hi – really great web site you have established. I enjoyed reading this posting. I did want to issue a comment to tell you that the design of this site is very aesthetically pleasing. I used to be a graphic designer, now I am a copy editor in chief. I have always enjoyed functioning with information processing systems and am attempting to learn computer code in my spare time.
