Grab your fork, put on your adventurous appetite, and let’s soar into the extraordinary world of Dinner in the Sky! Hold on tight and prepare to have your taste buds take flight 🙂

Dinner in the sky is an intriguing dining concept operating in various cities around the world. The idea of a “suspended” restaurant came from David Ghysels, Belgium, who created a unique dining “custom” which uses a crane to hold its dinners, and waiters 50 meters up into the air.

The concept is simple yet so smart and inspiring. A specially designed platform, capable of accommodating a table and seating for up to 22 guests, is hoisted into the air by a crane, reaching heights ranging from 50 to 150 feet. Strapped securely into their seats, diners are treated to a dining experience like no other, floating among the clouds with a bird’s-eye view of the world below.

The organisers arrange for access to on-ground facilities and handles any necessary permits. Cost depends on the location, the menu, and a list of variables that stretch from putting an opera singer in the center of the table to suspending a platform from a second crane allowing a band to circle diners as they eat.

Guests are usually strapped into leather seats, while waiters and waitresses stand in an aisle at the center of the table.

The dining experience itself is truly remarkable. Renowned chefs curate exquisite menus, showcasing a fusion of flavors and culinary expertise. From appetizers to desserts, each dish is crafted with precision and creativity, taking the dining experience to new heights.

Here is the idea put to practice in several countries across the globe:
