And a red jaket as in the picture, tu be more easy to spot in case u get lost on the mountain :))

Definetly if it is your first mountain trip, you should talk to someone with more experience before going, its safer. And mountain boots are pretty much a must, as they offer ankle suport, good traction, and if you are lucky, they are water resistant. (Gore-tex rulzz anyway).

Sometimes you will find water on the way, so you can carry only 1 liter, which should be easy enough to carry, but plenty enough not to die of thirst.

One important thing about hiking in Romania: Dont keep food inside the tent!! Bears will come for it (and not for you! But dont stand in the way).

Oh, and if you are only going up for one day, that is called an one day hike. If you are spending at least one night there, that is called "backpacking".

The feelings can be great anyway. It depends a little on what you like more (if u love clubs, maybe u should stick to 1 hour hike...)
