Bled Island is located on Lake Bled, a glacial lake in the Julian Alps in northwestern Slovenia. It is the only natural island in Slovenia and it is well known for its unique location. Placed in a picturesque environment, with snowy mountains or green forests all around, the Bled island is a magical place, waiting to be explored.

Although it seems protected from modern treats, it is important to say that the final shape we see today is the work of human hands, after an archaeological excavation carried out in the ’60 which established that the island was inhabited since the 7th century B.C. There are several buildings on the island and the most important is Pilgrimage Church of the Assumption of Mary which dates back to medieval times. Bled Island is also a wonderful wedding location, much sought after by young couples.
